PURPOSE:To make a rear electrode compact sharply by forming the rear electrode with a metal plate. CONSTITUTION:The inside surface of a glass container 41 is a part of a rear electrode 42 ad is adjacent to a spring section 43 that secures the rear electrode 42. That is, the rear electrode 42 is made of a metal plate (for example, SUS material), and the protruded spring section 43 is provided by etching a part of the said plate. In addition, the glass material 44 to which a conductive coat that makes contact with the rear electrode 42 adheres also plays the part of a post between it and an electrode 45 that is an electron beam extracting means. By using the metal plate as the rear electrode, the rear electrode can be made compact sharply as compared with the conventional glass plate. Namely, the rear electrode can be very economically supplied without requiring the adhesion process of the conductive coat. |
