The invention relates to an overload safeguard on clutches and, to achieve a small construction which operates reliably, proposes that there should be a body (8) revolving in an annular space (3) between the input and the output element (2, 4), the cross-section of the annular space being reduced at at least one point by means of a resilient portion (5) such that the body (8) has to bend the portion (5) outwards in order to pass this region. <IMAGE>
