PURPOSE:To obtain a cold rolled stainless steel sheet having a bright surface which is not tinged with blue without deteriorating the corrosion resistance and workability by plating a cold rolled stainless steel sheet with iron before final annealing and removing the iron layer after the annealing. CONSTITUTION:Stainless steel is hot rolled, annealed, pickled, and repeatedly subjected to cold rolling and annealing once or more. The surface of the cold rolled stainless steel sheet is plated with iron to 0.1-1mum thickness before the final annealing, and the iron layer is removed by electrolytic pickling or other method after the annealing. By this method a cold rolled bright stainless steel sheet having a silver surface which is not tinged with blue is obtd. |
