In this system, consisting of a sample distributor and an analyser portion connected to it, control takes place through a common data processing portion, having a data input device, by means of data carriers which can be manually inserted, the same kind of data carriers being provided both for insertion of the data relating to the individual samples and for those items of data which relate to analytical data, and the evaluation taking place in order to associate the data in the data processing portion by means of a coding by which a corresponding changeover of the data paths is produced.
