Lagging plate

Roadways and spaces in underground mining and tunnelling are secured by a support system, the support arches of which are each connected via lagging plates which have hooks at the ends for inserting into the support arches. To this end, a plate is connected on the roadway side to a lagging mat which has double hooks which can be inserted in particular at both ends into the support arches. The plate has an external size corresponding to the internal size of the lagging mat so that, when the intermediate space between the individual support arches is completely sealed off in the longitudinal direction of the roadway, further lagging plates can readily be hooked or inserted into the respective support arches. A lagging plate of this type can be placed in such a way as to be sealed off against dust and through-flow by all-around sealing strips, so that these lagging plates are especially well suited to both the normal support system with water influx and the support system with subsequent backfilling. <IMAGE>
