<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the belt without the fray of canvas warps by a method wherein, a belt blank is wound around pulleys, the belt blank is cut while it is under stretched tension under being moved, then its both selvages are fused and solidified under a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:Belt blank 13 composed of canvas whose tension resisting members are made of thermoplastic resin fiber such as polyester fiber or polyamides fiber, etc., is wound around between a stationary pulley 11 and a distance-adjustable movable pulley 12, and then is stretched. Further, said beltmass 13 moving at constant low speed and being in tension state, is cut at specified width by a heating blade. Next, the heating travel 14 such as an electric heater is brought to be in contact with the width of 2-10mm. from both ends of said cut, and both side edge parts are welded by heating into one body at 250-350 deg.C, thereby obtaining the objective belt 1 without warps 6 being frayed from the selvages of the belt.</p> |
