CONSOLE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To realize the conversation between a CPU and a console device by providing a switch control part to connect with switch one of plural interfaces to a key device and a display monitor and therefore adding the corresponding indentification information to the CPU. CONSTITUTION:A console device 32 is connected to CPU301-304 of a computer system via input/output buses 311-314 respectively. Then corresponding CPU301-304 are connected to interfaces 401-404 of the device 32, and memory parts 411-414 are connected to the other ends of interfaces 401-404 together with a switch control part 45. The part 45 selects one of those interfaces and connects a key input device 43 and a CRT momitor 42 to the selected interface. The indentification information corresponding to the requests of the parts 411- 414 are added by a printer output control part 46 connected to the parts 411- 414. In addition, the identification information is produced at a header control part 47 with a request given from the part 46. This information is added to the part 46 to control the input and output between CPU301-304 and the device 32.
