PURPOSE:To make junction of a sheet close uniformly and to raise the performance of a battery by placing a jig in the center of the upper bottom of a soft metallic sheet having a trapezoidal section, pressing the outside circumferential face of the sheet, and forming it cylindrically. CONSTITUTION:A lithium sheet 1 having a trapezoidal section is placed on a forming die 3 provided with a semi-circular groove 2, and is pushed in by placing a center jig 4 from the upper part of the center position of the sheet 1. Therefore, both end parts 1', 1' of the sheet 1 are pressed by pressing jigs 6, 6 on which recessed grooves 5, 5 of a 1/4 circle, from the left and right directions, and by drawing out the center jig 4, a cylindrical lithium electrode is obtained. |
