PURPOSE:To efficiently convert a fine vibration displacement with large amplification factor by providing a latch member having an elastic force operating portion at a vibrator, and displacing an output member by the reaction. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 100 is connected with an AC power source 3 by fixing an electrostrictive element 1 as a vibrator to a stationary member 2 to convert the fine vibration to a linear motion. A movable latch member 4 is provided on the end face of the element 1 to form a vibrator 50, a plurality of triangular teeth 4a are formed on the member 4, and operate as elastic force operating portions. A stationary latch member 6 secured to a stationary member 5 is provided oppositely to the member 4, and teeth 6a of the similar shape are formed. Further, an output member 8 is disposed in a gap 7 between the members 4 and 6, and the member 8 is formed of a rod 8a and a linear spring (elastic member) 8b. Thus, the member 8 can be advanced by the reaction due to the elastic deformation of a spring 8b. |
