<p>An improved wad for cartridges of shotguns, of the type consisting of a substantially cylindrical body of plastic material having a bowl (7) containing lead shots (11) and a small cup (17) for delimiting the firing charge, said bowl and said cup being connected to each other by a cushioning structure (6), said improvement consisting in that disk-shaped tiles (9) are provided, the diameter of which is, when in the flattened position as caused by the thrust of the firing charge, essentially greater than the inner diameter of the gun barrel.</p><p>The tiles (9) represent additional sealing elements against the leakage of the explosion gases and contribute to the cushioning effect of the wad portion (6).</p> |
