PURPOSE:To enhance straight running performance, in a car in which one of pair of right and left wheels is driven by a power unit, by suspending the driven wheel so that it is steered by the driving force being imposed on it. CONSTITUTION:Eyes 8 and 9 are fixed at both sides of the rear part of a car frame 1. Via these eyes 8 and 9, a swing arm 10 for the rear wheels is supported by the car frame 1 in such a manner that the arm 10 can freely swing in the vertical direction. A strut 11 is interposed between the idle end of the swing arm 10 and the car frame 1, while the swing arm 10 is supported by a rear wheel 4. Another rear wheel 5 is provided as an integrated body with a power unit 12 provided with a prime mover 14 and a reduction gear 16, and it is connected to the swing arm 10 via a link 13. In other words, one end of the link 13 whose other end is connected and fixed to the reduction gear 16 is supported by a pin 18 so that the link 13 can swing horizontally against the swing arm 10, while the bottom surface of the prive mover 14 is supported by the swing arm 10 via an elastic mount 19. |
