<p>The impeller of a centrifugal pump is intended for delivery of dirty or road surface water with high contents of solid, abrasive particles, such as sand etc. It consists of a metal, e.g. aluminium, support disc whose one side is fitted with blades and whose centre part forms a hub for insertion onto a shaft. The support disc (2) has an elastomer coating (6), at least on the side (5) fitted with the blades (4), which are also made of elastomeric material. The blades pref. form an integral unit with the support disc coating which is vulcanised to the support disc face.</p> |
