<p>A voltage regulator is proposed for a permanent-magnet-excited AC generator, which is used to regulate the voltage of a DC network and to charge an accumulator battery, the no-load voltage of the accumulator battery being intended to be used for regulation. The AC generator (14) is in this case connected via a rectifier arrangement (20) to the DC network (19) with the accumulator battery (18), and can be bridged by a bidirectionally active thyristor circuit (23, 24). The control junction of the thyristors (23, 24) can be bridged by a control transistor (26, 27) whose base is in each case connected to a voltage divider (28, 29) which is connected in parallel with the thyristor (23, 24). The gate connection (23a, 24a) of the thyristors (23, 24) is furthermore connected via the switching path of a threshold-value switch (32, 33) to the positive potential of the DC network (19), in that the threshold-value switch (32) becomes conductive when a specific DC voltage is present in the DC circuit (19). The voltage regulator (10) can preferably be used in motor vehicles which have a magnetic generator driven by an internal-combustion engine, and a DC network with an accumulator battery. <IMAGE></p> |
