PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the point of a stylus and a disk at the time of access searching by installing a means which moves the stylus vertically to the disk to make the stylus pressure at the time of random access smaller than that at the time of reproducing. CONSTITUTION:A cantilever 15 is fitted freely oscillatory to a suspension 18 which is the oscillation fulcrum of the cantilever 15. A stylus 12 is supported by the point of the cantilever 15 and a magnet 17 is fixed to the other end of the cantilever 15. Furthermore, an electromagnetic coil 16 is installed above the magnet 17. When an electric current I is conducted to the coil 16 in the direction from a terminal 19 to another terminal 20, the lever 15 receives a rotational force in the direction of an arrow to produce a stylus pressure M to the stylus 12. At the time of the access research, the current I is reduced to an electric current (i) to reduce the stylus pressure M to (m) by means of a signal from a stylus pressure control circuit. Therefore, the wear of the point of the stylus and the deterioration of the disk can be prevented. |
