<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the structure by constituting the output shaft of a front wheel steering system, the input shaft of a rear wheel steering system, and a linkage shaft connecting them with one flexible jointless shaft in a device steering both the front wheel and the rear wheel. CONSTITUTION:When a handle 1 is operated to rotate a handle shaft 2, a rack shaft 21 is moved to the left or right against a gear box 20 and also tie rods 3 are moved to the left or right, thereby knuckle arms 4 are rotated in the left or right direction to steer front wheels 6. And in conjunction with the left or right movement of the rack shaft 21, a jointless shaft 40 connected to it is rotated, an eccentric pin 45 provided on its back makes cranking, and subsequently rear wheels 16 are steered through a joint member 32, tie rods 13, and knuckle arms 14. The front and rear wheel steering systems are thus connected with the jointless shaft 40, which is provided with a flexible section 44, therefore a universal joint used in the past can be made unnecessary.</p> |
