PURPOSE:To easily read the address information and to improve the SN ratio of the sound by detecting the reflecting beam of the laser beam to focus at the track for the address on the optical disk out of a pair of laser beams for tracking and decoding the address information. CONSTITUTION:The device has the guide groove for tracking, one side, in which the address information is recorded, is used as the track for the address and other side is used as the data track to record the data. A pair of laser beams is irradiated at the interval of the odd number times of approximately 1/2 of the track pitch through an objective lens 55 to an optical disk 40. A pair of the reflecting beams from the optical disk 40 is made incident on a pair of light detecting elements 20 and 22 divided into two respectively, from the difference in respective difference outputs of both respective detecting outputs, the tracking error signal is obtained and the tracking is controlled. Out of a pair of light detecting elements 20 and 27 divided into two, the address information is decoded from the output of the light detecting elements divided into two on which the reflecting beam from the track for the address is made incident. |
