PURPOSE:To insert communication managing information to an optional position of an original, by replacing an optional part of a picture signal from an original reading section into dot pattern information stored in a pattern storage section. CONSTITUTION:This facsimile device replaces an optional part of a picture signal from an original reading section 1 with dot pattern information stored in a pattern storage section 9. The dot pattern information is transmitted from a pattern storage section 9 to a pattern generating section 5, and converted into dot density corresponding to the picture element density of the picture signal, and replaced into the picture signal fetched to the pattern generating section 5 via a changeover device 8. The dot pattern information replaced with a picture signal, and the signal itself are transmitted to a coding section 3 via a changeover device 7, a line memory 2 and the changeover device 8 and encoded. The changeover devices 7, 8 are controlled by a transmission control section 4' and the picture signal or the pattern information is selected. |
