PURPOSE:To improve the transfer power, by storing a code representing the content of character processing to an optional area of a main storage section, and setting top address information of a storage area of the main storage section to a control register of a line adaptor at the start of communication. CONSTITUTION:The communication controller consists of a main processing section 1, main storage section 2, line adaptor 3, data bus 4, control bus 5, address bus 6 and a line 7. The code representing the content of character processing is stored to an optional area of the main storage section 2 at the start of communication. Further, the top address of the area is stored in a control address register in the line adaptor 3. A receiving command is set to the instruction register at the receiving, and when the data from the line is finished for the assembling of one character, the line adaptor adds the corresponding receiving character information and the content of the control address register. |
