PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration and improve yield while checking the mesh blocking of a mask pattern by pasting a transparent thin film having the light- transmittivity so as to cover small holes, on a shadow mask screen which is in the process of forming a phosphor screen. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask porous plate 1 is made of a thin metal plate which having numberless regular small holes 1a and being formed into a proper curved surface. The porous plate 1 is all around provided with the skirt part 2 almost vertically to its curved surface. Said skirt part 2 is welded to a frame 3 made of a slightly thick metal plate, further the frame 3 is provided with a plural number of springs 4 while said springs 4 enabling the whole of the frame to be held in the assigned positions inside the panel. A film 5 having the light- transmittivity and flexibility is uniformly pasted without wrincles over the surface of the already assembled shadow mask porous part 1, thus covering small holes 1a. |
