PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform highly accurate counting of fine particles in a liquid, by filtering the liquid by an ultrafiltration film, whose hole diameter is 100Angstrom or less, and counting the fine particles captured by the film with an electron microscope. CONSTITUTION:An ultrafiltration film, which has a hole diameter of 100Angstrom or less and comprises polyamide or the like, is mounted on a holder. Pure water, which is water to be tested, is guided to the holder. Then the film is removed from the holder and dried. The surface of the film is evaporated, and the fine particles, which are captured by the film, are observed and counted with a scanning type electron microscope. The fine particles, whose diameter is about 0.05mum, can be counted highly accurately. |
