摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the incident angle of sunrays with high accuracy in a real time, by a method wherein short-circuit currents of a plurality of solar cells arranged so as to be mutually crossed at right angles are respectively detected and the relative values of these short-circuit current are calculated. CONSTITUTION:Low resistances R1, R2 are respectively connected in series to solar cells 11, 12 provided on the light receiving surface of a solar cell paddle not shown by a drawing so as to be mutually crossed at right angles and the short-circuit currents of the solar cells 11, 12 are detected by these resistances R1, R2. Voltages e1, e2 at both ends of said resistances R1, R2 are respectively supplied to an input signal ratio detection circuit 13. The output signal e0 shown by a formula e0=KXe1/e2=(R1XK1Xsintheta)/(R2XK2Xcostheta)approx.=K Xtantheta (wherein K, K1 and K2 are constants) is calculated by this detection circuit 13. This output signal e0 is proportional to a sunray incident angle theta which can be, in turn, calculated from this value. In this case, because the reception of influence due to a variation element is reduced, the incident angle theta can be detected with high accuracy.
