The present invention relates to a tool for providing holes in one end panel of a cylindrical tin of metal sheet, preferably a beer can. The invention is characterized in that the tool comprises a body 2 of a bendable, stiff material, e.g. metal strip, formed as an open circle. The diameter of this is somewhat larger than the diameter of the sort of can for which the tool is intended. The ends of the body are formed with ears 9 extending out from the body 2. A two-armed lever is rotatably journalled in said ears by means of an axle 3. In said two-armed lever, the end of one arm, which is shorter than the other arm, is formed as a hole punch 4, and the longer arm serves as a handle 1. When the tool has been fitted onto a beer can, a mechanism acting between the lever axle 3 and the body 2 is adapted to bringing the ears 9 closer to each other, such that the diameter of the body 2 is diminished, as the handle 1 is taken in the direction implicating that the hole punch is approaching the end panel of the beer can. This entails that the can, in which the hole punching is to be performed, is thereby fixed within the body 2. <IMAGE> |
