PURPOSE:To attain remote control by receiving and discriminating the light from a remote control transmitter by an automatic focusing photo detector. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 3 and a photo detector 4 are provided on the front face of a video camera 1 performing automatic focusing. In case of the normal automatic focusing, the light emitting element 3 is emitted via a light emitting circuit 5 and the light reflected on an object is received by the photo detector 4, inputted to a discrimination drive circuit 10 via a photo detecting circuit 6, a gate circuit 8 and a pulse count circuit 9 to drive a focusing motor. In case of the remote control, the light from the remote control transmitter is received and the discrimination circuit 10 performs the operation such as pause and zoom. Thus, the remote control is attained easily and the photographer itself can be photographed. |
