A stackable basket (Fig. 1) has a pair of stacking supports 5 pivotably mounted in mounting plates 4 under the bottom of the basket, the stacking supports being capable of being on the one hand pivoted in under the basket bottom and forming feet for the basket and on the other hand pivoted out and forming bearing means when the basket is stacked on another similar basket. The legs 6 of the stacking supports 5 are bent in a step-like manner to form a bearing surface 11 and a support surface 12 for bearing against the edge or edge strip 3 located around the opening of the other basket, and the mutual spacing of the legs 6 is essentially the same as the spacing between a pair of side wires in the other basket so as to be capable of being supported by these, so that stacked baskets are fixed in relation to one another. <IMAGE> |
