PURPOSE:To form a curve for compensating gradation according to various objects to be photographed and various purposes by roating and moving parallel about 10 kinds of basic curves for compensating gradation. CONSTITUTION:Image information is read from a phosphor sheet 1 by a photomultiplier 4, and is stored, via a logarithmic conversion circuit 6 and a A-D conversion circuit 7, in a memory 8. The basic curve for processing gradation in the signal level-optical density coordinate system stored in an electronic computer is rotated and parallel moved and a desired curve for processing gradation meeting the object to be photographed and the purpose is formed by a gradation correction circuit 9 by which the image information (electrical signal) stored in a memory 8 is converted. The output signal is converted into a light signal by an E/O modulator (optical modulator) 11 via a D/A conversion circuit 10 and the corresponding light is outputted from a light source 12 for recording so that the image is reproduced and recorded on a photosensitive material 14. The many curves for compensating gradation are thus easily formed and the electronic computer is reduced in size. |
