PURPOSE:To obtain the same actual address from a different virtual address VA, that is to say, to realize serveral common areas on a virtual address space VS by providing an operating space assigning area assigned to a virtual space, plural operating spaces, and a space control register for designating the size of the common area. CONSTITUTION:A space control register SCR designates the size of a common area CA 10, an operating space WS 9 and a WS assigning area WSA 8 on a virtual address spaces VS 7. Subsequently, when a virtual address to be converted shows a common area, an actual page address for executing access to the same entry of a directory is generated, and also as for comparison of the virtual address in the entry and the virtual address to be converted, it is executed by disregarding a difference between the operating spaces. That is to say, when VA designates CA 10, the same value is sent to a PD address generating mechanism 6 without depending on which WS 9 it belongs to, and as its result, an actual page address for the same PD access is obtained. |
