PURPOSE:To dispense with any operating force for setting a cassette as well as to make a stable paper feeding pressure maintainable in time of paper feeding, by installing a disconnectible power transmission device in space between a turning shaft of a bottom plate installed rockably in a cassette bottom and a driving source which drives the turning shaft. CONSTITUTION:Opening a cover 5, when copying paper is housed inside a cassette 1 installed in a cassette installation part in copying machines and the cover 5 is closed again, a slider 9 is made to move forward against a spring 10 as its rear end is pushed by a roller 8. At this time, a roller 61 is pushed upward by a spring cam 11 whereby a lever 60 is turned round in a counterclockwise direction against the force of a spring 64, turning on a microswitch 70 by a lip piece 63, and a motor 81 starts its rotation. And, the turning of the lever 60 progresses to some extent well, and when a sector gear (power transmission device) engages a gear 85 in mesh, a lifter 51 is turned round, and a bottom plate 2 of the cassette 1 is caused to rise upward, so that a paper top is made contact with a paper feeding roller (unillustrated herein), thus coming into a state of being paper feedable. |
