摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium with superior traveling stability by forming at least one layer contg. urethane resin having siloxane bonds in the molecule and cellulosic resin on one side of a support opposite to a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one layer contg. urethane resin having siloxane bonds in the molecule and cellulosic resin is formed on one side of a support opposite to a magnetic layer. The urethane resin is obtd. by substituting polyol having a siloxane bond or a prepolymer thereof for part of polyol used in the manufacture of conventional urethane resin or by using isocyanate having a siloxane bond. A cellulose deriv. such as nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose diacetate, cellulose triacetate or cellulose propionate is used as the cellulosic resin.
