PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit and to uniform and stabilize reproducing characteristics by providing the titled device with a common subchannel demodulating means to two subchannels and a matrix means adding/subtracting a main channel and a subchannel, an output from the subchannel demodulating means. CONSTITUTION:In order to discriminate the output of a BPF25, a subchannel carrier signal (subcarrier signal) and determine the mode, a rectifier 38, an LPF39 and a level discriminator 40 are connected to discriminate a recording program mode (MPX stereophonic, MPX monophonic or NO-MPX mode) in accordance with the subcarrier level and output a signal corresponding to the discriminated mode. The mode discriminating signal is used as a control signal for a switch controller 29 and a matrix controller 37. When an RF signal of reproduced voice information disappears, a reset signal generator 41 generates a reset signal to reset the level discriminator 40 and reset the mode discriminated output. |
