PURPOSE:To permit orderly take-up of a cable by detecting the left and right eccentricities of an attached drum from the left and right reference center positions of a gate type winder to correct the left and right amplitude centers of a cable inductor of a traverser according to the eccentricities. CONSTITUTION:While a cable is taken up through a traverser 5 by a drum journalled between left and right suspension arms 16 of a gate type winder 1, a reversal indicating frame 41 movable left and right along a guide shaft 42 of a traverser 5 is provided and constituted such that a plurality of pairs of detectors 46... are mounted on a plurality of parallel cross rods 44... spanning left and right side plates 43 symmetrically left and right about the axial center of said cross rod. Also, the frame is provided with a detecting means K for obtaining the left and right eccentricities of the drum from the difference between the number of pulses from transducers 31 provided on screw shafts 25 of a drive unit 21 for shifting the left and right suspension arms 10. The frame 41 is controllably moved on the basis of the output of said detecting means K to correct the left and right amplitude centers of the cable inductor 33. |
