PURPOSE:To enable the discharge of only the liquid having extremely low COD, by separating a fermentation liquid into vapor and concentrated liquid by a vacuum evaporator, and separating the non-condensed gas in the vapor into the low-boiling fraction and the high-boiling fraction by a multi-stage evaporation column. CONSTITUTION:A fermentation liquid is supplied to a vacuum evaporator 1, and heated and separated into vapor and concentrated liquid. The generated vapor is compressed and heated by the blower 12, circulated to the vacuum evaporator 1, subjected to the heat exchange with the feed liquid in the evaporator 1 to generate vapor, and is discharged from the outlet port 15 as condensed water. The non-condensed gas in the vapor is sent to a multi-stage evaporation column 4, and separated into a low-boiling fraction and a high-boiling fraction. The low- boiling fraction is cooled to obtain a condensed water rich in alcohol, and discharged from the discharge port 42, and the high-boiling fraction obtained as the bottom is discharged from the outlet 43. |
