The segmented cage for a grooved ball-bearing accommodates two balls in the pockets of each segment. Each segment (3) is in two similar halves with semicircular pockets, secured together in the axial direction by snap connectors. The latter typically comprise hooked protrusions at the free ends, engaging in grooves behind the hooks on the other half, while the central rib of the segment can incorporate a centring portion. Alternatively there can be radial beads (4) on the ribs, the segments being straight.
