PURPOSE:To increase the processing speed of registration for a POS (point of sales) system having mixture of a bar code display or a character display, by reading the tags of both bar code and character displays with the dame reading device. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed cells of a control and binary coding circuit 7 are white and black, the corresponding signals (0) and (1) are set to a color flag 13. For the scan of the next screen, the signal of the cell is set to the flag 13. In this case, the preceding contents are set to a color flag 14. A collating circuit 15 compares the contents of flags 13 and 14 with each other. When the coincidence of collation is obtained white or black cells continue. Therefore the contents of a counter 16 are added. If the contents of flags 13 and 14 are different from each other white and black cells are changed. In such a case, the signal is sent to a normalizing circuit 18 from the circuit 15. At the same time, the contents of the counter 16 are sent to the circuit 18 and then cleared. |
