PURPOSE:To obtain a horn speaker which has the advantage of a ribbon type speaker and extremely high efficiency by providing a voice coil which has a couple of parallel planes operating as a diaphragm successively to the throat of the horn. CONSTITUTION:A gap is formed between the part where the horn 2 of an upper plate 6 is formed and the part between a couple of magnets 5 of a lower plate 7, and the voice coil 3 is arranged in the gap in contact with the lower plate 7 at its lower end successively to contact the throat of the horn 2. The voice coil 3 has conductors wound around the axis 2b of the horn 2 by necessary times and is arranged coaxially with the axis 2b. The conductors are fixed together with an adhesive and form a couple of plane parts 3a and 3b arranged in parallel to the axis 2b along the longitudinal side of the throat 2a of the horn 2 to form the diaphragm. |
