PURPOSE:To evaluate a change of texture and material in an installed state without sampling a test piece from an actual equipment member by finding and comparing polarization curves of a body to be tested and a reference material, and measuring the texture change and material deterioration. CONSTITUTION:A glass electrolytic cell 2 is fixed to turbine blade 1 as a test piece through a packing 3. Then, a platinum electrode 5 and a saturated calomel electrode 6 while dipped in an electrolyte solution 4 are fitted to the electrolytic cell 2 and connected to an electric power source 8. The electrolyte solution 4 uses a mixed aqueous solution of 0.5% H2SO4, 1% NaCl, and 0.01% C2H5OH. A sweep speed in measurement is set to 50mV/min so that not to give any effect to the polarization curves. Reference materials varying in texture are used for metallic materials of the same chemical composition to judge what state the texture of a tested body whose metallic texture is unknown. |
