PURPOSE:To perform securely data transfer at a proper transfer speed by detecting the proper data transfer speed on the basis of test data sent from a terminal equipment, and outputting a transfer timing signal. CONSTITUTION:The test data D is supplied to a receiving circuit 8 by operating the keyboard of the terminal device T1 and further sent to a CPU. The CPU receives the data D initially at the highest speed and detects a data transfer speed suitable for the terminal T1 by a program for transfer speed detection stored in advance to store corresponding control data in a control register 10. A timing control circuit 6 outputs a transfer timing signal phi by the control data and carries out the data transfer at the suitable transfer speed to secure the transmission and reception of data. |
