PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in picture quality due to load variation of recording paper feed and to obtain an invariably excellent recording picture by adjusting the delay time of recording timing according to the load variation of recording paper feed. CONSTITUTION:A receive picture signal sent from a transmission side is decoded and outputted to a thermal head driving circuit 15 from a control circuit 3. Then, the control circuit 3 outputs a recording timing signal (b) and a subscanning feed pulse (d) successively at the same time. The driving of a steepping motor and therefore a platen roll 11 is started by the pulse (d). On the other hand, a delay circuit 5 delays the signal (b) by the time corresponding to a paper width signal (c) from a paper width detector 4 and the delayed signal is applied to the circuit 15. Consequently, recording operation is started in such a state that recording paper 13 is fed normally by a roll 11, and a picture is recorded at a specific normal position. |
