PURPOSE:To give electrical characteristics stable against temps. by forming a comparatively thick insulating layer between the substrate of an electrophotographic receptor and the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A 20-1,500nm thick insulating layer made of Al2O3, SiO2, Si3N4, SiC, etc. having a conductive type same as a photoreceptor layer and contg. impurities more than the photoreceptor or stronger in their properties than it is formed on the substrate 1 composed of Al, Cu, Fe, or the like metal or a film or the like having a conductive coat. On this layer the photoreceptor layer 2 is formed made of Se, Se-Te, Se-Te-As, Se-Te-halogen, CdS, ZnO, or the like to obtain an intended electrophotographic receptor. The obtained electrophotographic receptor is extremely low in fluctuation of chargeable potential and residual potential in the range of ordinary used temps. |
