PURPOSE:To prolong the life span of a lamp by dipping an inner and outer coil in an electron emission material suspension under the pressure reduced atmosphere, drying the coil coated with the electron emission material suspension, and inserting an electrode core up to a specified location. CONSTITUTION:An inner and outer coil 9 consisting of an inner coil 6 and an outer coil 7 is housed in a container 10 made of metal meshes. Then after an electron emission material suspension 12 is contained in a container 11, the metal container 10 and the container 10 are installed in a pressure reduction bath 13 and the inside of the bath is pressure-reduced. Subsequently, after the inner and outer coil 9 is dipped in the electron emission material suspension 12, the metal container 10 is pulled up and is dried. In addition, after an electron emission material 8 is dried, the electron emission material on the outside surface of the outer coil 7 is wiped out while inserting an electrode core 5 at specified dimensions. In an electrode 2 obtained in such a way, the inside of the outer coil 7 is fully filled with the electron emission 8. As a result, the life span of a lamp can be prolonged. |
