PURPOSE:To rearrange easily the information by having a comparison between a noticed one of plural code systems contained in the data sent from the upper places and the code of the same system of the existing data and then performing the processing in accordance with a fixed procedure. CONSTITUTION:The n-th data Dm is sent to a CPU7 from a higher rank computer 1 via an input register 3 and an I/O control circuit 5 and compared with the data stored in an RAM12 in terms of a noticed code system. If the code data Cn of the data Dn is higher or lower than the highest or lowest code of the existing data, the data Cn is put into the n-th address or an address 0. Then 1 is applied to each address of the existing data. If the data Cn is set at the middle place of the existing data, the existing data is divided into two parts and then compared with the highest and lowest places of each region to decide the regions of those two divided data. The above-mentioned operation is carried out repetitively to these regions. Thus it is possible to rearrange easily the information just with the hardware. This system is suitably applied to an alphabetic list of names, etc. |
