PURPOSE:To ensure the stable automatic tuning function by measuring the input/ output of an object system in a closed loop state including a controller after applying a small number of step type test signals to the set value of a control system and setting a control parameter based on the results of said measurement. CONSTITUTION:A feedback control is carried out through a controller 2 to keep the output (c) of an object system 1 at the set value (r). A test signal (d) given from an automatic tuner 4 is added to the value (r) through an adder 6, and the effective set value (p) is obtained. The controller 2 serves as a PID controller, and the transmission function G(S) is obtained by an equation (KP, T1, TD: control parameters). Then the automatic tuner starts its operation with a signal 5 requested by an operator. As a result, the control parameters KP, T1 and TD which are applied to the controller 2 are set automaticaly and clearly by the tuner 4 with simple estimation of characteristics of the system 1. |
