PURPOSE:To automate the packaging of a rice ball with a laver sheet, by separately feeding an inner bag containing the rice ball to the side of a feeding apparatus, holding the inner bag with the laver sheet in a packaging film, tucking the protruding parts of the laver sheet, and tucking the packaging film. CONSTITUTION:One inner bag containing a rice ball is fed to a receiving recess 9 of a separating machine 8 by a conveyor 7, and the separating machine 8 is rotated to feed the above-mentioned inner bag separately to the side of a feeding apparatus 37 for a laver sheet. In the apparatus 37, the laver sheet contained in the packaging film together is brought into contact with the rice ball from the rear side of the inner bag, and a turntable 20 is rotated to a tucking apparatus 21 while holding the inner bag and film in this state with holding arms 19 and 19'. The protruding parts of the laver sheet and the film are tucked by tucking plates 23 and 23' in the apparatus 21, and the resultant packaged rice ball is then transferred onto a delivery conveyor 24 by the rotation of the turntable 20 and placed thereon. The side parts of the film are tucked by a pusher on the delivery conveyor 24 one after another and packaged. |
