Terminal block with built in fuse for in line mounting

The terminal block (1) is produced with a thin section housing that has a moulded body with projecting lugs (2) that mechanically latch onto a mounting rail (3). The mounting enables a number of terminal blocks to be mounted side by side. Within the housing are two terminals (6) that allow wires to be inserted from the side (5). Each terminal has a centre hole for the wire and has a screw (7) for clamping. Cross conductors (9) project into the centre section to make contact with the pins (11) of a fuse element (13). The fuse (12) is retained in a plug in unit that is inserted from the top. Internal conductors (14,15) connect the fuse across the electrical terminals (9).
