PURPOSE:To build castable refractories for a mixer car in a shorter time with less working personnel by injecting a fluid into a freely expandable and contractable core inserted into a mixer car body and recovering the core from which the fluid is discharged to the outside of the core after the castable refractories injected into the space between the core and the outside shell solidifies. CONSTITUTION:A sepn. part 2 is separated from a body part 1 of a mixer car, and after the refractories in a furnace are allowed to cool, the refractories are broken so that only the shell 12 in both parts 1, 2 remain. The internal wetting part 14 of the part 1 is built of a brick 14a; thereafter, a core 15 for installation which is freely expandable and contractable and is designed to have a prescribed space from the shell 12 when sealed therein with a fluid is held contracted 15a and is carried into the furnace by a crane 11. A required amt. of a liquid 23 is forced 27 into the core 15a and further gas 28 is forced 29 into the core 15a. The castable refractory material 42a kneaded 42 on a working deck 21 is admitted 30 into the space between the core 15 and the shell 12, and upon completion of the admission, the degree of solidification of the material 42a is confirmed, then the core 15 is contracted and withdrawn to complete building of the part 1. The part 2 is built by an ordinary method. |
