The invention relates to an ultrasound applicator for intracorporeal application, especially for ultrasonic scanning of internal body organs or internal body cavities, having a transducer housing. It was already proposed to mount the transducer housing with its rear end on a guide part so as to be bendable, swivellable or rotatable. According to the present invention, the guide part (15, 40) mounted so as to be bendable, swivellable or rotatable has adjustment means (20, 45) on which the bending, swivelling or rotating position of the transducer housing (2, 32) is adjustable. Besides simplified application in intraoperative examinations and in body cavities the ultrasound applicator according to the invention can be used especially for laparoscopy. <IMAGE>
