PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of workpiece holding by pawls by protruding the pawls on a diaphragm and rapidly opening and closing the pawls while axially displacing the center of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:Plural pawls 3 are protruded on the one surface of a diaphragm 2. A piston 5 is actuated by air fed from an air passage 1d, and the tip part 6a of a push rod 6 pushes and separates a projection part 2a located at the center of the diaphragm 2 on the rear surface thereof. The pawls 3 are opened by the pressing force applied by the projection part 2a of the push tip part 6a to release a work 7. The pawls 3 are closed facing to each other and the work 7 is chucked by the returning of a push rod 6 in the right direction thereof. |
