PURPOSE:To obtain a carpet for car which is lightweight and has the superior thermal molding performance and sound shielding performance by allowing a packing layer on the back surface of the carpet ground cloth to contain minute hollow spherical powder made of glass. CONSTITUTION:Polyolefin resin is preferable for molding a packing layer. Single substance or the mixture consisting of at least two kinds among ethylene- vinyl chloride copolymer latex, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer latex, etc. is used as high-polymer latex. Hollow spherical powdered body made of glass has preferably an average diameter of 200mu or less, average true specific gravity of 0.5 or less, and a 10% breaking hydrostatic pressure of 100kg/cm<2> or more. In order mix minute hollow spherical powdered bodies made of glass into the packing, a ribbon-type blender, etc. are used in case when the packing material is thermoplastic resin. |
