PURPOSE:To release lock-up quickly while to prevent rotation of friction clutch piston under lock-up state, by forming a screw section on the rotary shaft in an oil path communicated to release chamber and applying the produced hydraulic pressure in addition to lock-up releasing pressure. CONSTITUTION:A screw section 50a of predetermined length is provided on a rotary shaft 50 will pressure feed oil in an axial hole 38a into release chamber 46 upon rotation of said shaft 50. In order to release lock-up state, hydraulic pressure same with that fed into an apply chamber 48 will be fed to said hole 38a. Consequently the hydraulic pressure in the release chamber 46 will be higher by the level due to said screw section 50a than that in the apply chamber 48, to return the lock-up clutch piston 10 to the right thus to separate the facing completely from a cover shell 12 and to completely release transmission of power due to friction between the cover 12 and friction clutch piston 10. |
