PURPOSE:To obtain the titled pellet which protects a thermoplastic resin from troubles due to moisture absorption with a specified shape of a cut surface by extruding the humidity sensitive thermoplastic resin (composition) as core with an olefin based resin as sheath. CONSTITUTION:A humidity sensitive thermoplastic resin (composition) such as olefin-vinyl alcohol copolymer and an olefin based resin are melted and kneaded in separate extruders and then, fed to a die head 7. As a result, the mixture is extruded from an orifice 10 as a strand 13 having the humidity sensitive resin as core with the olefin based resin as sheath. Then, the strand 13 is cooled in a cooling tank 15 to solidify the surface of the strand. While softened inside, the strand is pressed at a small interval. Further more, the strand is cut with a rotary cutter 17 or the like at pressed parts to obtain the intended pellet 1. |
