<p>PURPOSE:To absorb expansion of a linkage shaft due to the heat radiated from an exhaust pipe and a change in relative distance produced due to an external force, by forming with a plate member the spider of the universal joint of a linkage shaft between front and rear steering systems. CONSTITUTION:The steering system of front wheels 6 and the steering system of rear wheels 16 are coupled together through a linkage shaft 24, and a universal joint 40 at one end of said shaft has a spider 51 formed with a plate member. This constitution enables the universal joint to be axially expandable, resulting in the ability to absorb expansion of the linkage shaft due to the heat from an exhaust pipe in vicinity thereof and a change in relative distance between the steering systems due to an external force.</p> |
